"As fans of DJ Scott Mills will know, he and colleague Mark 'Chappers' Chapman have been desperate to land roles in The Bill.
On Thursday, September 18, Mills' dream will come true.
The DJ, dressed in a police uniform, will share two scenes with Inspector Gina Gold, Superintendent John Heaton and new PC Leon Taylor.
The plot centres on Gina taking a stand against the young criminals of Sun Hill. She requests a heavy presence of officers at a local shopping centre.
While patrolling the streets, two suspected shoplifters, Charlie Nelson and Jenny Frake, are spotted and brought into the station for questioning. However, Nelson's wad of counterfeit notes soon set alarm bells ringing.
The DJ is no stranger to soapland. Mills played himself in a 2005 episode of Hollyoaks, and also exercised his acting muscles in two episodes of Casualty.
He portrayed TV reporter Paul Lamb in a 2006 episode, and reprised the role last year."
